Renowned billionaire Bill Gates once again expresses his views on the COVID-19 vaccine, stating that «one dose is not enough.
Gates, who has become a major donor to the WHO along with his wife Melinda, believes that a single dose of the vaccine is not enough to eradicate the pandemic.
«None of the vaccines at this time seem to work with a single dose. That was the hope from the beginning,» he said for a CBS interview.
«We hope that only two doses, although in the elderly, sometimes more is needed. Making sure we have a lot of older people in the trials will give us that data,» Gates added.
The Microsoft co-founder believes that to have global coverage, at least 7 billion vaccines would be needed «incredibly large numbers,» he said.
He appears to disagree with Trump that the United States is one of the nations least affected by the pandemic.
The U.S. is still the epicenter of the pandemic with more than 1,000 deaths per day and more than 4 million infections, according to Johns Hopkins University.
A pesar de los avances con la vacuna contra el #coronavirus, #BillGates considera que se se necesitará más de una dosis y se demorará más de lo que creemos?? Esto es lo que opina el cofundador de Microsoft ? https://t.co/wd9iPQ9KIm
