They estimate that as of December, China will put their drug on sale; it will cost $150 and will be applied in two doses every 28 days.
This is the Sinopharm vaccine, which is the result of the third stage of clinical testing in high-profile laboratories in the Asian nation.
Jingzen Liu, president of SinoPharm, said the vaccine must be given every 28 days in two doses; she also expects it to be available by the end of the year, with the last trials completed.
«Once the inactivated vaccine is on the market, its price will not be too high. I personally received two injections of the vaccine, there were no side effects,» Liu said.
He stressed that the vaccine is vitally important to the population and emphasized that «not all Chinese people need it»; he said there should be priority for the most vulnerable.
Together, he addressed students and city workers, urging them to get the vaccine, while those living in remote areas do not have to.
This information was released after China approved the first patent for the COVID-19 vaccine; it was developed by CanSino Biologic and will involve 5,000 volunteers from Saudi Arabia.
Notably, the first nation to register a COVID-19 vaccine was Russia with Sputnik V.
