At some point in our lives, we have failed God to commit a sin and ask forgiveness; and after that, we’re constantly committing the same sin over and over again.
Many times because we are again the same over and over again for which we have already asked God for forgiveness, it makes us feel guilty and ashamed, but this makes us get to the point of believing that God does not, he will forgive us or make the decision to turn us away from him.
The first thing we must do is NOT to give up for THE REASON, because when we get to give up begins to think that you have no forgiveness, and also the case where the person begins to feel good about sin, and so this leads us to move further away from God until we stop repenting, so our mind cauterizes and you stop feeling that alert that warns you when you are doing something wrong.
So if you still feel bad when you sin means that the holy spirit is rounding you up or convincing you of your sin, this is the right time in our lives to repent and leave our mistakes behind.
“And when he comes, he will convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment”; John 16:8
Let us not forget that God can forgive us, but leaving this behind is a personal decision and it is our responsibility to turn us away from sin and what leads me to sin.
Don’t create the environment
Sometimes we know exactly where and those who lead us to sin. Pay the price, we must sacrifice everything for our salvation and for Jesus; to turn us away from the places and friendships that can lead us to this, and to remember that God’s faithfulness is greater than our infidelity; and thus deny your own wish.
“Wherefore, if thy right eye is a chance to fall, take him out, and throw him out of thee; because it is better for you to miss one of your limbs, and not that your whole body is thrown into hell. And if your right hand is a chance of falling, cut it, and throw it out of you; For it is better for you to miss one of your limbs, and not that your whole body be cast into hell”; Matthew 5:29-30
The difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is that we as believers recognize our sin, confess, repent, and turn away from him.
What you need to do is:
- Repent and confess sin: God doesn’t care what your sin was, just repent and be brave to turn away from it.
Don’t forget God doesn’t reject a repentant heart (Psalm 51:17)
- Accept God’s forgiveness: Many times we think that we do not deserve God’s forgiveness and say that our sin has been so great that it is impossible for him to forgive us
Believe and have faith that God will forgive you (2 Chronicles 7:14)
- Stay away from temptation: let go of everything that leads you to sin, away from situations or places.
It is better to please God and have him first (John 16:33)
God knows what we are going to fail him what he demands is that we always go with a repentant heart to his presence and we can confess to him that we have made a mistake, God told Peter that forgiveness is infinite for those who are really looking for him. (Matthew 18:21-22)
